1. About Nova
Nova is a delivery concierge service operating around Wigwe University, Nigeria. Nova helps users coordinate food orders, laundry, parcels, cash/POS requests, and other delivery-related errands through our website, WhatsApp, riders, dispatch partners, restaurants, and local vendors.
Nova helps coordinate delivery and order handling. Nova does not prepare food sold by restaurants or vendors.
2. Eligibility
By using Nova, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian. You also confirm that you are a student, staff member, authorized visitor, resident, or person reasonably using Nova's supported delivery areas.
3. Orders and Payments
- Orders may be placed through the Nova website, WhatsApp, or other approved Nova channels.
- Orders are confirmed after required details and payment instructions are completed.
- Payment may be required before delivery.
- Accepted payment methods may include bank transfer, card payment, wallet balance, or other approved payment methods.
- Prices are shown in Nigerian Naira.
- Nova may cancel or reject any order if the item is unavailable, the address is incomplete, payment is not completed, fraud is suspected, or delivery is not possible.
4. Delivery
- Delivery times are estimates and may change due to traffic, weather, restaurant/vendor delays, rider availability, campus restrictions, or other conditions outside Nova's control.
- Users must provide accurate address, zone, phone number, and delivery instructions.
- Failed delivery caused by wrong phone number, wrong address, unreachable recipient, or incomplete information may not be refundable.
- Users should be available to receive calls or messages from Nova or riders during delivery.
5. Food, Vendors, and Product Quality
Nova may help coordinate orders from restaurants, vendors, and local businesses. Food preparation, product quality, packaging, and item availability may depend on the vendor.
Nova will support customers in resolving issues, but Nova is not the original manufacturer or food preparer unless explicitly stated.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
Refer to the Refund Policy page for complete refund rules.
Summary:
- Cancel before rider accepts: full refund where applicable
- Cancel after rider accepts but before pickup: partial refund may apply
- Restaurant/vendor closed or item unavailable: full refund
- Failed delivery due to wrong or incomplete customer information may not be refunded
7. User Conduct
Users must not:
- Request illegal, unsafe, or prohibited items
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or mislead riders, vendors, staff, or dispatch partners
- Create fake accounts
- Abuse referrals, promo codes, refunds, or wallet credits
- Attempt to bypass Nova's payment system
- Attempt to hack, overload, scrape, attack, or disrupt Nova's website or services
- Upload harmful files, malware, or misleading payment receipts
8. Account Suspension or Termination
Nova may suspend, freeze, restrict, or terminate user accounts for fraud, abuse, suspicious activity, payment issues, violation of these terms, or security reasons.
Users may request account closure by contacting Nova.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nova is not liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Lost profits or business interruption
- Delays caused by weather, traffic, riders, vendors, or events outside Nova's control
- Food quality issues caused by restaurants or vendors
- Losses caused by incorrect customer information
Where Nova is responsible for an issue, Nova's total liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected order or service.
10. Privacy and Cookies
Use of Nova is also governed by our Privacy Policy → /privacy and cookie preferences.
11. Changes to These Terms
Nova may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Nova after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may be communicated through the website, email, or WhatsApp where appropriate.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes may be resolved in the appropriate courts of Rivers State, Nigeria, unless another venue is required by law.
